The Grid Skeletons publication examines the use of grids in research posters created by the 2022 RMIT Master of Communication Design cohort. By analysing the grid structures, the project explores how grids contribute to the readability, aesthetics, and overall impact of design. The publication showcases a range of grids, from structured to chaotic, and reveals how these systems provide discipline and creative freedom in design. Through this exploration, the project aims to highlight the intersection of design and beauty while offering insights into the students' unique perspectives and concerns.
We intentionally used a black and white colour scheme to captivate the audience's attention and emphasise the significance of grids. However, to highlight the distinct positioning of content, we introduced eye-catching blue dots as a thought-provoking focal point.
